Knoxville Opera - Opera 101

Knoxville Opera invites you to join us for our 2004-2005 Season! We are pleased to continue the Student Dress Rehearsal Program for selected productions. This year's Student Dress Rehearsal performances include: Mozart's The Magic Flute , Gilbert & Sullivan's The Mikado , and Donizetti's The Daughter of the Regiment .

Knoxville Opera is currently seeking sponsors for the program, which will allow school groups to attend dress rehearsals for free. Currently, the program is underwritten in part by Knoxville Opera, and is offered at the minimal admission cost of $3.00 for students and $5.00 for chaperones. Schools can be reimbursed a portion of the ticket amount by applying to the Arts Council of Greater Knoxville Student Subsidy Program. We hope students and educators will take advantage of the opportunity to experience professional opera with international opera starts, lavish sets, tailor-made costumes and music performed by the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra.
