Student Dress Rehearsal

Knoxville Opera offers area Middle and High School students (and their chaperones) the opportunity to experience the magnificence of fully staged opera performances at a dress rehearsal. This season features two exciting Italian operas, La Forza del Destino by Giuseppe Verdi, and Tosca by Giacomo Puccini. Students experience all the fascinating aspects of an opera production; powerful singing-actors, chorus, the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, and innovative sets and costumes. Both are performed in the beautiful language of Italian with projected English translations above the stage. The performances take place at Tennessee Theatre in downtown Knoxville. The fee to attend a student dress rehearsal is $3 per student or $5 per adult.
