Marie Butler
Finance / Ticketing Manager

A native of Knoxville, Marie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts, with a major in instrumental music and a minor in voice and piano. She holds an additional Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education. Marie was first employed with Knoxville Opera in 1989 as the Receptionist and Ticket Manager. She was later promoted to the position of Business Manager, and left the company in 1998. She returned to Knoxville Opera in January of 2002 to assume the position of Finance/Ticketing Manager. In addition to her work at Knoxville Opera, Marie serves as the Music Director at Third Creek Baptist Church, where she has been employed since 1990. Marie can often be seen (and heard!) singing at special events around East Tennessee.
