Magic Flute Set Rental

World famous glass artist, Richard Jolley, brings his trademark designs of the human figure to The Magic Flute. Towering and ghostly translucent human forms and pyramid shapes comprise the Temple of Sarastro while outside the Temple a jungle of cut-drops and greenery surround a myriad of colorful forest creatures and dark woodland sprites.
Jolley's design features a transition from darkness to light, from stark silhouettes to vibrant color. Forces of the night are captured in shadowy blue and silver hues with reflective surfaces contrasted by the warmth of humanity and its tapestry of translucent gold.
Pyramid shapes abound as do Greco-Roman forms to create a classical world of fantasy, myth, and mystery lost in the mist of antiquity. Jolley's figures glide seamlessly in and out of view creating a constantly moving and shifting landscape.

Magic Flute Costume Rental
Costume designs by Carroll Freeman offer a unique perspective from a stage director, singer, and artist with a long association and connection with The Magic Flute, which began as a boy soprano in the role of the First Spirit. Freeman's designs capture the flavor of ancient Egypt coupled with a tribal fierceness bourne from the mysterious interior of the dark continent.
Vibrant color dominates Freeman's costume scheme from the glittering capes and dresses of the Three Ladies to the massive robes of the armoured giants to the angelic purity and simplicity of the Three Spirits. Each costume reflects the traits of its wearer and adds to the character development and identity of the players.
Freeman's costumes have a traditional style, but with a mixture of fantasy and originality that make them interesting and unique. His signature piece is the dramatic gown, long train, and headdress for the Queen of the Night that give the illusion of a powerful goddess larger than life and well over ten feet tall.
