Knoxville Opera Presents

The 14th Annual Rossini Festival International Street Fair

Embrace international as the Rossini Festival returns for its 14th year! The 14th Annual Rossini Festival takes place Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 10:00 am – 9:00 pm in downtown Knoxville, along both Gay Street and Market Square. Dedicated to celebrating the arts with a spectacular feast of dance, music, and opera from the region’s best talent, the Rossini Festival and International Street Fair is FREE to the community and is almost entirely dependent upon sponsor support for its survival and future growth.

As one of the Southeast’s most alluring cultural attractions, Knoxville Opera’s Rossini Festival International Street Fair brings a taste of Europe and the world to East Tennessee by celebrating the color, fun, and excitement of opera and international culture. Transforming downtown Knoxville’s Gay Street into a colorful International festival, the Rossini Festival features four stages with a range of entertainment options, world class opera performances, a vibrant International Street Fair and artisan’s market, art and craft exhibitions, wine tasting, the smells and tastes of authentic foods and beverages, and a special children’s area on Market Square, complete with fun entertainment and games. This extraordinary event also presents a perfect opportunity to attend the Knoxville Opera’s production of Bizet’s Il Trovatore.

In 2014, The Rossini Festival drew over 100,000 people from Knox County and the surrounding East Tennessee region. In 2015, the Knoxville Opera and the Rossini Festival are excited to continue to showcase our region’s wealth of culture, live entertainment, educational offerings, culinary offerings, artisan exhibits, children’s activities, and much more.
