The Knoxville Opera Guild hosts a pre-opera dinner before the Friday evening opening performance of each new opera. The venue for this event is the beautiful dining room of Club LeConte atop the First Tennessee Bank Building. Beginning at 5:30 p.m. opera attendees may enjoy a cocktail while socializing with friends. Following the social hour, a delicious dinner is served. Guests attending this event have sufficient time to arrive at the theatre and be seated for the 8:00 p.m. curtain. It's a fabulous beginning to a delightful evening of opera.

Cost: $45.00 per person. Club LeConte provides a cash bar for the pre-dinner social.

After the Opera

Just because the opera is over, that doesn't mean that your night on the town has to be! There's plenty to do after the curtain closes. Go out for a drink or some coffee, catch some live music, or go dancing at a nearby club. Don't feel like heading home? Spend an evening at one of downtown's hotels or bed and breakfast inns. And when you've had a little too much of a good time, call a cab and get yourself home safely.
