Join us as Knoxville Opera and Pilot Travel Centers present the 10th Annual Rossini Festival and Italian Street Fair!
Embrace your inner Italian – Rossini Festival time is coming for the 10th Year! Events include Knoxville Opera’s production of I Puritani April 8 and 10; the ever popular (and FREE!) Italian Street Fair, April 9; and a UT Opera Theatre production (TBA).
Knoxville Opera organizers are instituting a “green’ initiative for the Italian Street Fair and requesting vendors, artisans and festival goers to NOT use Styrofoam and other non-recycle-able materials. Thanks to the generosity of Waste Connections, recycle containers will be located at each major intersection and in market square throughout the Street Fair on Saturday the 9th.
This year, Knoxville Opera also proudly acts as an official drop point to Second Harvest FoodBank of East Tennessee to help eliminate hunger in our community. Each month, Second Harvest fills 155,000 requests for food assistance (up 28% from last year). Please help Knoxville Opera support our community by bringing non-perishable food items to the Street Fair or during a performance. A food collection station will be in the lobby at Tennessee Theatre.
